any%, if you press T while holding space, the timer doesn't start. I back jumped through the level, only difficult part was the last double jump because sometimes it bug out and you'd only have 1 jump. Another thing that I don't think people know about: if you pause the game and press space while on the ground, you'll get a triple jump (quadruple jump with triple jump pad). is this considered a glitch?

I'm confused on how a backwards run would be timed? Evidently the entire run can be completed without even starting the timer, so it would need another separate timer, which would be redundant. Any% counts because 1, there is no official categories, and 2, any% includes bugs, which this is one.
Until there's official rules by either speedrun.com or by the creator, I'll consider this the fastest time anyone has achieved.

100%: Stand on every platform, checkpoint, sign and pillar possible (current record to my knowledge is 1:22:55 by space)
Sure, Lava skip is very vital, if when you first start you fall into the lava and press space at the same time, you'll be teleported ahead. It's a bit tricky but with practice you can do it. Hold (W+A) or (W+D) to move much faster.

Sorry but this is wrong, you don't need to hold space or T at all. If you just never press W or SPACE the timer won't start.
i found that if you hold space → press t while having space held you can keep jumping without starting the timer.
Making the whole game possible to beat without starting the timer.

NEW SPEEDRUN OPTION HAS BEEN DISCOVERED!
By never pressing "space" or the "W" Key, the timer never starts!
Shift still works though. Give the "Backwards any% run" a shot.
(If you use this trick your run will not be ranked with normal any% runs)

Different categories to try:

Also, its been found that for 100% you stand on everything except the "T" to restart sign.
ALSO ANOTHER RECORD TO TRY: Trackpad WR at 30 seconds.

that's the only one you can't reach. But, by moving your character sideways, you can make the jump after the first two pillars to the other ones.

average i would say it only saves 2 secs or 1.5 so yeah
Lava skip can save up to 5 seconds. That's a good time for any%.
but for me it saves 2 secs i used to have the world record for any% but i got beaten.
